Plus, the job market is coming back, and is pretty much the best it's been since the dot com crash. It's not quite back to pre-crash levels, but there seems to be a hard-won sanity and pragmatism that was sorely lacking before. So if you're thinking of looking, do so cautiously, but with renewed optimism. I am thinking that next spring will be the big hiring season. Fall should be active, but that's because there are still a lot of layoffs and readjustments going on, not because the market has returned to an intrinsic state of health.
