Let's be honest here. I'm really sick of maintaining this site.

All I ever intended to do was help women get jobs in IT so they could take care of their kids and it wouldn't matter if their ex-husbands paid child support or not. That's it, that's all.

What have I gotten in return? Ongoing nastiness from the internet community. I never did anything to anyone. I'm not Tucker Max, who exposed everyone's salaries at the law firm at which he interned. I've revealed no secrets about the inner workings of the many companies at which all of us Fairies have worked. And heaven knows, there's a lot of dirt to be spread, believe you me.

I'm sick of the hack attacks. You know, this site costs us money to run. And time. The hosting company could do a lot more, but they're nearly as much trouble as the hackers.

Now Google is talking about yanking the site from its search listings for 30 days because we got hacked. They got in through what was the Blogger engine, which was acquired by Google, so I think at best that's pretty rich. As far as I'm concerned, I really no longer care. If you're all jerks enough to try to trash the one site on the internet (other than Ask The Headhunter) who's trying to help people get employed without a) asking for money and b) carrying advertising, you deserve what you get. You deserve to be screwed by nasty greedy employers and taken in by employment scams. You deserve the Chandler Hills of this world and to have to wait in long lines just to hand in resumes at job fairs at hotels in the middle of the day in the middle of the week, and to be treated like dog droppings by HR flunkies who have as much authority to hire as the baggers at the end of the checkout line at your local grocery store.

You deserve what you're going to get.

Have a nice day.
