This is an underestimate. Routinely, you make 30 - 40% of the total hourly fee to the client company... unless recruiters are lowering their overhead these days in order to stay competitive. But I see them lowering your hourly rate before they'll lower theirs!! But you can always assume you are getting 50% of the hourly rate or less.
